A physician referral is not required for a screening mammogram. Women age 40 and older can schedule a screening mammogram without a physician’s order. Diagnostic mammograms and all other women’s imaging services require a physician referral. We accept all physician-signed orders, even if they are on a hospital order form or prescription pad. To schedule a screening mammography, login to MyChart as long as it has been at least 365 days since your last mammography. Direct scheduling is also available for some ultrasounds with a physician order. If your provider orders an ultrasound that is available to schedule through MyChart, you will have the option to schedule on the MyChart app/website.
